Knitting at the Library
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced knitter, join the fun as we all learn together in the Library’s Children’s Room. This is a weekly event, but you’re welcome to join at your convenience. Bring your own supplies and enjoy making new friends and creations.
Chili Cook-off
Here in Cable, WI, we don’t let the cold weather stop us from having some fun outside! Join us for our 3rd annual “Chilly” Cook-Off and Winter Beer Bar on Main Street. Locals submit their best chili recipe for you to enjoy and judge, yes you are the judge. Cast your vote for your favorite and help us name this years’ Chili Champion. If you think your chili recipe has what it takes, submit your entry today. The entry fee is $10, and you’ll need your own serving utensils. The top three winners will receive awards: 1st Place gets $100 in local dining, 2nd Place receives $50 in local dining, and 3rd Place gets $25 in local dining.
We’ll also have fun games for the whole family and s’more pits at no cost, thanks to our generous sponsors. For 21-year-olds and older, the Whistle Punk will be serving up favorite winter brews. The price for chili and beer bar range from $5 to $15. All Proceeds go to A “Lure” of Lights.
